Congratulations goes out to the junior tennis team, who put forth a great effort on Friday at the SSSAA tennis tournament. While everyone played well, special congratulations go out to Kell Brett and Quinn Leschuk, who completed an epic comeback against a strong Ignatius team by winning 2 tiebreakers to claim the junior boys’ doubles title. They were joined by Jouni Kemppainen and Samantha Sgambelluri, who won the junior mixed doubles title. Other great results included Mackenzie Cambly’s 2nd place finish in girls’ singles, Jordan Malench’s 2nd place finish in boys’ singles, Bradley Paterson’s 3rd place finish in boys’ singles, Athen Kaplanis and Ryan Herman’s 3rd place finish in boys’ doubles, and Lindsay Humeniuk and Emily Sanzo’s 3rd place finish in girls’ doubles. Amazing job, saints. Our juniors have us in good position, and our seniors are trying to finish the job today as our saints tennis team shoots for back to back titles.
